Brad's Thoughts
Over the last couple of weeks, the blog has morphed from simple updates of the family, to my reflections on a variety of topics. I like where we are going together with this. You'll still get updates on the Fuller crew and certainly the beloved Sooners.

Finally Friday!
Spent the afternoon working a booth at the University of Kansas Annual Psychiatric Convention. Do I need to elaborate on the types of conversations I overheard? Better yet, how about some of the jokes that people told? Or even worse, the ones that elicited the most laughs? Everytime I start believing my wife, that I am somewhat off-kilter and quirky, I realize how normal I am compared to many of the physicians I see each and every day. I can walk in the door in the evening just a bit more smug and ignore Laura when she claims that I am the only guy in the world who doesn't like playing footsies.
I am starting to understand that Gracyn is not my only child who wants to spend time with me. This evening, I was going to take her to spend some quality time by returning some overdue movies to Blockbuster. She got her shoes and jacket on and retrieved the suitcase she had packed this morning(she said she was going to the airport to see her grandma tomorrow). We were about to walk out the door, when Cannon ran to the door with his jacket on ready to go. I waved bye bye and blew him kisses, but he just stood there with an expression of being left out. I hadn't seen that before and my heart couldn't leave without him. I loaded up the kids and we ran our errand. After we got home, Gracyn helped me water the yard and Laura had Cannon wave night night through the window. I came in the house about 30 minutes later to hear my boy crying. Laura said he thought I had gone to work and wanted me to hold him. I grabbed him, hands filthy dirty, and rocked him to sleep, thanking God for these wonderful two blessings He has given me.

First Spaghetti
Cannon ate his first spaghetti dinner tonight. The little guy with the quickly expanding girth, ate literally twice as much as me. He refused to eat just noodles, so we gave in and mixed them with sauce. We all had fun watching him put it all away.
Gracyn absolutely kills us with her affection and loving affirmations constantly. We get peppered with thank you's all night long for doing things for her over a week ago. It is amazing and touches your heart.
After dinner, we all went for a walk. Gracyn insisted on pedaling her big bike for the first time around the block. Afterwards, Cannon, Gracyn and I went out to finish planting shrubs in the front and then watered the lawn. As can be expected, both were muddy from head to toe and loved it. However, Cannon has trouble with mud between his toes. He's just not so sure he likes it or not.
